Technosoft presents the IDM640 / IDS640 intelligent drives, members of a new family of cost-effective and compact servo products based on Technosoft’s latest MotionChip^TM DSP Control Technology.

The IDM640 / IDS640 embed motion control, driver and PLC functionalities in a single compact unit (size 136 x 95 x 26 mm). They are software configurable to drive brushless, step, DC or linear motors up to 640 W (80 V, 8 A).  An IDM240 / IDS240 version of up to 240 W (48 V, 5 A) is also available.

Typical feedback devices include incremental, sin-cos, SSI, and EnDat encoders; resolver, digital or linear Halls, or tacho.

Various motion modes, including contouring, profiling, gearing, electronic camming, PVT, in stand-alone or multi-axis operation can easily be programmed with Technosoft Motion Language (TML) in a graphical environment. Libraries for C++, Delphi, Visual Basic or Labview and S7 PLC, complemented by starter kits, are available for easy integration in target applications.

The flexibility and versatility of the IDM640 / IDS640 make them an ideal cost-effective solution for distributed control over CAN (optionally CANopen), RS485 or classical RS232 networks.
