IS23x-DS Series - Digital Step Motor Family

The IS23x are a new family of the TECHNOSOFT digital step motors, including motor and digital drive in a single package operated from a 12–48V single power supply.

The IS23x represent cost effective compact solutions specially adapted to distributed motion control applications.

Targeted for medium to high volume applications, the IS23x-DS motors are based on a cost optimised design. This embeds all the basic motor control functions inside the motor itself.

Fully digital step motor with embedded drive operated from a 12-48 V supply

Low system cost due to compacteness and reduced wiring

Ideal replacement / substitution of stepper axes, without any hardware or software changes of the indexing system)

Available in 3 motor lengths, offering from 0.5 to 1.8 Nm of holding torque
(models IS231-DS, IS232-DS, IS233-DS)

Internal EEROM for setup parameters storage

High resolution up to the equivalent of 256 microsteps / full step

Automatic current control for run and hold modes

Parameters:
   - Motor run / hold currents
   - Motion direction versus direction input
   - Microstep resolution: 1 to 256 microsteps / step

Pulse and Direction (P&D) inputs (5 or 24 V compatible) for position reference (standard setting)
      or
Analog input (-10...+10) V for speed or position reference (optional setting, alternative to the P&D reference mode)

Motor Enable input (5 or 24 V compatible)

Motor Ready / Error output, open-collector (0...48) V / 50 mA

Easy and simple to use Windows setup program, via an RS-232 communication line (programming adapter required)

Programming adapter (RS-232 compatible) (optional)

The IS23x-DS motors are configurable using the EasySetUp program, an easy to use Windows application for motor parameterization and testing.
