ISM4803 – Intelligent Servo Module

ISM4803 is a high-performance intelligent servo module that combines motion controller, drive and PLC functionality in a single compact unit.

The ISM4803 module is a flexible, cost-effective solution particularly adapted to the distributed and coordinated control of brushless, DC or step motors of powers up to 150W, with voltages up to 48V.

Programmable with the high-level Technosoft Motion Language (TML), the ISM4803 embeds, on a single board, advanced motion control and basic PLC-specific functionality.

Typical applications include distributed motor control with the possibility of electronic gearing or CAM functions, optionally in a CAN network.

	Suitable for brushless DC, brushless AC (vector control), DC brush, and 2-phase or 3-phase step motors
	Compact open frame design (64 x 104 x 16 mm) card format
	Various control modes: torque, speed, position; electronic gearing, contouring (PVT, PT), profiling (trapezoidal, S-curve); step motor emulation (step & direction input)
	Single- or multi-axis control (master/slave mode); standalone operation with stored motion sequences
	RS-232 serial communication
	Optionally: CAN-Bus 2.0B, up to 1 MBit/s
	Programmable digital input / outputs and analog inputs
	4 general-purpose inputs / 4 general-purpose outputs
	Differential quadrature encoder; digital Hall sensor interface
