PMCM4805 / PMCM8005  - Programmable Motor Control Modules

 


PMCM4805  and PMCM8005 are fully digital programmable motor control modules that offer compact and cost-effective solutions for brushless motors control. These modules are particularly adapted for sensorless control of brushless motors of powers up to 100 W, at voltages up to 80 V. Higher voltage versions (325 V) are in preparation.

Typical usage includes constant or variable speed drives such as pumps or fan applications. The modules have a cost optimized hardware structure, integrating all the basic motor control functions on a double-sided credit card format.

Features:

 

Fully Digital Motor Control Module

 

Suitable for brushless motors with and without sensors, with sinusoidal or trapezoidal commutation

 

Compact open-frame (70 X 50 mm) credit card format, or DIN-rail versions are available

 

Various motor control modes: speed control mode (with or without sensors); torque control mode

 

RS-232 serial communication, up to 115 k baud rate

 

Optional encoder / Hall sensor inputs

 

2 analog inputs, +/-10V range

 

5 to 8 digital inputs/outputs

 

Motor power supply: 48 V (the PMCM4805), or 80 V (the PMCM8005)

 

High output current: 5 A continuous, 16 A peak

 

Protection against overcurrent, shortcircuit, earth fault, over- and undervoltage, I2t, control error

 

2.54 mm pitch edge connector

 

Intelligent servo control options are also available (ISCM series)

 


The PMCM4805 / PMCM8005 line complements the ISCM Series (Intelligent Servo Control Modules), which offer higher servo and network capabilities (CAN) in the same compact size.
