Motion Control Libraries for PLC

A TML Motion Library for PLC is a collection of high-level functions and function blocks allowing you to control the Technosoft intelligent drives and motors based on MotionChip™ technology, from a PLC: Siemens SIMATIC S7-300, OMRON CJ1, or X20CS1070 from B&R. The motion control function blocks are developped in accordance with the IEC 61131-3 standard and represent an ideal tool for quick implementation on PLCs of motion control applications with Technosoft products.

With the TML Motion Library functions you can: communicate with a drive/motor via any of its supported channels, send motion commands, get automatically or on request information about drive/motor status, check and modify its setup parameters, read inputs and set outputs, etc. Depending on the PLC type, the communication is done either directly with the CPU unit, or via a CANbus / RS-232 communication module.

Using a TML Motion Library for PLC, you can focus on the main aspects of your PLC application, while the motion programming part can be reduced to calling the appropriate functions and monitoring the confirmations that the task was done.

All these blocks have been designed using the guidelines described in the PLC standards, so they can be used on any development platform that is IEC 61131 compliant.

All Technosoft's TML Motion Libraries for PLC are provided with the EasySetUp platform, through which you can set up the Technosoft drives / motors for your application.

Important! The TML Motion Libraries for PLC exploit all the features added to our drives / motors in firmware revision i. Therefore, the drives / motors must have firmware revision i or later. You can check and update your drive / motor firmware, using the firmware programmer installed with EasySetUp.
